Cannizaro House, Wimbledon Wedding - Robert & Laura

Congratulations to Robert and Laura who flew over from Hong Kong for their wedding in Wimbledon.  After a blessing at St Mary's Church, their reception was held at the stunning Cannizaro House, complete with it's fabulous new Orangerie recently finished as part of a complete renovation of the 300 year old building.

Laura's breathtaking dress and veil were by Oscar De La Renta and her shoes were Ralph Lauren, her bouquet of white orchids complimenting both beautifully.

Here's a few of my favourite images.

London Pre Wedding Photography - Louise & Dave

We postponed Louise and Dave's pre wedding shoot due to all the snow back in January, so it was a bit annoying that the weather didn't behave when we finally met up at Southbank in London :(

It was a drizzly and cold day, but Louise and Dave didn't let it dampen their spirits and we used a few covered areas until the rain let up.  The huge advantage with the weather was the pretty soft light and the lovely atmospheric clouds, actually near perfect photography conditions!

Big thanks to Louise and Dave for a fun morning and for being so easy to work with, I'm really looking forward to their wedding at Pembroke Lodge next month!

Featured Supplier - Do Events and Weddings

I love working with other fabulous local suppliers and as you may have noticed I  have a small list of suppliers I recommend in my "Blink Photography Loves... section" on this blog.  These are people I have worked with before and whom I would have no hesitation booking for my own wedding (well if I wasn't already married obviously!).

Today I wanted to feature the lovely Caroline who runs Do Events and Weddings.  I photographed Caroline's own wedding a few years ago at the fabulous Clandon Park.

If you are wondering why you might want to use a wedding planner, Caroline has written a great piece explaining the benefits.  Apparently the average wedding now takes over 250 hours (eeek!) to organise, which explains why more and more couples are turning to wedding planners to help.

Orleans House Gallery & The Bingham Hotel, Richmond - Wedding Photography

Holly & James' wedding was a wedding of firsts for me... It was not only my first wedding of the year, but my first wedding with the ceremony held at Orleans House Gallery and my first wedding reception at the Bingham Hotel in Richmond.  I'm kind of a bit in love with both venue to be honest!

Orleans House Gallery is simply stunning, with the ceremony held in the beautiful, baroque Octagonal room which was apparently build in 1721 for Queen Caroline, wife of George II.  There are plenty of huge windows which give beautiful lighting and even cherubs over the doors!

Back at the Bingham, Holly & James braved the REALLY cold day and had some photographs taken by the Thames with Richmond Bridge in the background.  Their wedding breakfast was set up in the Garden Room and I loved their use of book covers as table names, which was apparently a last minute choice, but a great idea!

I also loved Holly's unusual wedding dress which was covered in tiny sequins and matched her sparkly Jimmy Choos!  Gotta love a bit of sparkle :)

Here are a few favourites from the day...

Islington Town Hall & Kettners, Soho - Steph & Michael's London Wedding

It was sunny, but freeeezing cold for Steph & Michael's wedding day, but as it had been chucking it down for what seemed like weeks, this actually seemed like a good thing.

I can't begin to explain, how much I loved how Steph & Michael had brought their own sense of style to their wedding, from Steph's gorgeous Candy Anthony dress, to the red Cadillac and old green Bus, to the beautiful details at the reception (showcasing Michael's fabulous graphics and his talent for making lamps!). All of this set in the perfect background of Islington Town Hall and one of my favourite bars in London, Kettners in Soho.

So with thanks to Katie at Kettners for all her help and with love to Steph & Michael, two of the nicest people you could ever want to meet, here are a few favourites from the day...
