Autumn Art Fair at the Landmark, Teddington

Because of time restraints I am not showing any work at this years Landmark Art Fair :( However, with over 70 artists and designers exhibiting, I would strongly recommend a visit. More details can be found at http://www.landmarkartscentre.org, plus if you print the leaflet below you can enter the private view for free or 2 for 1 over the weekend. Meanwhile, if you are interested in my fine art photography please click here:-  http://www.flickr.com/photos/blink_photography/

Personal Project - Abandoned Swimming Baths

Not everyones cup of tea, but I have a thing for photographing old, decaying and abandoned buildings. Here are some shots from a personal shoot I did at an abandoned swimming baths. The pool was nowhere to be found under the soil and undergrowth, but the changing rooms made for some interesting images. I would love to photograph an ex bride in her wedding dress somewhere like this - any offers?!

Fine Art Photography - Exhibition at the Architects Gallery, Teddington

I am pleased to have been selected once again, by the Architects Gallery in Teddington www.thearchitectsgallery.com  I will be showing six of my images at their Summer Exhibition. The show is running in conjunction with Richmond Borough in Bloom (hence the floral theme!). I am showing the following images and would thoroughly recommend a visit to the gallery which will feature both local and national artists.

Fine Art Photography - Day at the Seaside!

I am trying to do at least one personal project a month, so February seemed like a good time for a day trip to the seaside! After the snow from the week before, I couldn't believe the weather was so warm (had lunch on the beach!).  I love taking photos in Brighton, especially when you get such a perfect sunset over West Pier. Here are my favourite shots of the day.

Snow on Twickenham Green!

I was thinking last week how nice it would be to have some snowy photographs for my photo essay of Twickenham Green, so was excited enough to get up early yesterday to take some photographs. I was glad to get these shots, as around half an hour later the Green was filled with ecstatic kids building snowmen!

This is Cole, my black Labrador, who was a little bemused by all the white stuff. However, it wasn't long before he was having a great time chasing snowballs and stealing snowmen's arms!

Twickenham Green Photographs

New Years Resolution - I MUST KEEP MY BLOG UP TO DATE!

Twickenham Green is very close to my heart as I walk my dog there most days.  I took some photographs there in the Autumn which I exhibited at the Landmark Art Fair. Another foggy day and here are some more images.  I am thinking of completing a photo essay of year round images of the Green as it changes so much each season. Watch this space!

More Flower Photography

I am planning on entering Garden Photographer of the Year, having visited Kew Gardens to view this years winning images (which are fantastic and well worth a visit).  I really love visiting gardens like Kew and Wisley these days, definately a sign the big 4 0 is looming! Anyway, here are my latest flower and plant photographs.

Flower Photographs

It's nice to do personal projects from time to time and this is one of my favourites.  With the recent weather, it doesn't seem like work to be out photographing flowers.  P.S.  Does it mean I'm getting old when I start to know all the flower names?!
