It was a really wet and windy day for Nicola and Robert's wedding, so I'm sure at times they wished they had got married in Melbourne where they live... It rained after their service at St Annes, Wandsworth and again when everyone arrived at Pembroke Lodge for their reception. However during their wedding breakfast the sun came out so we were able to walk up to King Henry's Mound and get some lovely portraits, although I have never known it to be so windy there! Pembroke Lodge Wedding - Sarah & Glen
Sarah & Glen caught a lucky break in the weather for their wedding at Pembroke Lodge, Richmond. However I loved that Sarah came prepared with bright pink Hunter wellies, that she wore just in case (she's trying them on in photo 2 just in case you wondered!). Getting ready at the Bingham Hotel in Richmond was great fun with all her bridesmaids, her lovely Mum and lots of champagne and Abba playing in the background!
Sarah & Glen had their ceremony and reception in the Belvedere suite at Pembroke Lodge, the light is fantastic for ceremony photographs and I love confetti being thrown as the bride and groom come back down the aisle!

St Marys, Twickenham & Pembroke Lodge Wedding - Dominique & John
I find myself talking about the weather a lot in my posts and of course it does have a huge influence on a wedding day and also how the wedding is photographed. The forecast was not good for Dominique & John's wedding, basically it was supposed to rain heavily all day :( Anyway you can never trust a forecast, because although it did drizzle both before and after the service, it didn't rain until everyone was sat down for the wedding breakfast, ha!
I did spend a lot of time telling Dominque & John how lucky they were and whilst I think they thought I was a nutter, from a photographic point of view, the light was beautiful and soft and much more flattering than on a bright, sunny day! There are also certain areas at Pembroke Lodge that work much better with cloud (some like the group shot can only be photographed on a bad weather day!) and I hope you can see this from a selection of my favourite images that follow.
I guess my long ramble is really to say that no matter what the weather it is still possible to get fantastic images and enjoy your day!
